  • Congratulations to Commissioner-elect Kris Cruzada and Commissioner Todd Weaver for winning Commission Seats 3 and 4.

    All six charter amendments on the ballot passed. 

    The Swearing-In Ceremony for Commissioner-elect Kris Cruzada and Commissioner Todd Weaver is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23.

  • The March 8, 2022, City of Winter Park elections will include six charter amendments on the ballot.

  • The City's proposal language for the six Charter Amendments can be found here.

  • Amendments #1-5 would create a SUPERMAJORITY requirement for city commission votes related to specific land use decisions. Future commissions would need a supermajority (at least four votes) to approve any decision related to selling city property, rezoning park and public lands, amending residential and lakefront property maps, development decisions that increase density/intensity by >25% of current levels, and wetlands development. The sixth charter amendment would require additional public hearings for any material changes made to various ordinances, comprehensive plans and zoning decisions.

    • All mail-in ballots must arrive at the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, March 8. They can be mailed or placed in a drop box onsite. Postmarks do not count.
