Vote Yes for Transportation on Nov. 8

  • Orange County Transportation System Surtax

  •

The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce supports the Transportation System Surtax on the Nov. 8 ballot to dedicate more funds to public transit, roadways and safety measures, and solving traffic congestion across our community. Traffic is the #1 issue we hear about every city election. To solve traffic problems, we must invest in SunRail, Lynx, improving roadways, bikeways, and pedestrian paths.

Voting Yes for Transportation on Nov. 8 means tourists pick up the bill for more than half the costs of this transformative transportation plan. Given that Winter Park is a net commuter city with 6,000 more jobs than residents, we need to fund solutions to reduce the number of cars on our roads, increase safety for pedestrians, while moving more people in and out of our community every day – be they residents, employees, or visitors.
