I Don't Know What to Do With My Feelings: How to Handle Emotions and Change
So many clients and friends have told me that it's a struggle to try and homeschool their kids while also working from home (perhaps for the first time), and that trying to manage everyone's emotions while being hunkered down together is proving to be quite a challenge.
I'd like to help. I'm working with an online school called Outschool (featured on the CBS Sunday Morning Show) to offer classes to kids of all ages to help them successfully manage their emotions and communication so that they feel more like themselves again. Plus, parents can get some much needed relief from having to teach and counsel all on their own.
The first of my classes, "I Don't Know What to Do With My Feelings: How to Handle Emotions and Change," for ages 10-13 will start this week and I'm offering several class dates and times to choose from. In this interactive and engaging class students will learn to identify their feelings, use self-compassion to self-soothe, and create an action plan that will help them feel like themselves again more quickly. It will also help parents better understand how they can help their kids.
All of my classes will be grounded in evidence-based positive psychology and emotional intelligence research and exercises and will be fun and interactive! Plus, all classes are designed to be affordably priced at $12-$13 and are only 55 minutes long.If you know of parents who could use a helping hand and a reputable resource please feel free to share this information and link to register for classes.
