Barber of Seville
We mark the exciting return of Opera Night with Rossini’s Barber of Seville. It is one of the most popular of operas, known by untold millions who have never seen an opera but hum the barber Figaro’s entrance song, “Figaro! Figaro! Figaro!” Disguises, false identities, gossip, and secrecy—all in a comedy with a fun-filled happy ending. Enjoy legendary Fritz Wunderlich and Herman Prey in a classic 1959 performance of the Bavarian State Orchestra. Bring your own beverages and refreshments to share if you wish. We will provide some snacks.
