Admin - Chamber Cares

The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce launched Chamber Cares, a small business and community philanthropy effort in March 2008.  Chamber Cares is an annual fundraising campaign that awards funding to one community organization, cause or project.  Each year, a new project is chosen by the Board of Directors. The recipient must be a Winter Park Chamber of Commerce member and a 501(c)3 organization.

Since its inception, Chamber Cares, has raised almost $130,000 to support initiatives like the UCF College of Medicine's inaugural class, Senior's First emergency Meals-On-Wheels program, Winter Park Public Library's financial literacy program, Winter Park Day Nursery and Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.

2014 Project

The 2014 Chamber Cares project will benefit New Hope for Kids, whose mission is to bring hope, healing and happiness to children and families suffering grief, loss or life-threatening illness.

The Chamber Cares initiative will provide funding for the Grief Program, including Camp Ray of Hope, community outreach to local schools and hospitals, Soccer Sundays, a photo-journaling project, art exhibition and equipment for in-house family movie nights.

Dollars raised through Chamber Cares will be matched by HCF Foundation. The current need to fund this initiative is $19,481.28.
