I’ve officially arrived! #WTMLDN
I’ve officially arrived at the World Travel Market (WTM) at the ExCel Center in London, where I’m joined by Katie Keller, the Chamber marketing director, and Debbie Potter, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Alfond Inn. Over the next few days, 51,000 travel professionals will browse the exhibits in search of the next destination to add to their itinerary. I’m particularly excited at the prospect of meeting with a number of the 9,000 professionals who have direct purchasing power – that is, they can decide to add Winter Park to their travel itineraries on the spot. My intention is to make sure they do just that.
WTM will also be our gateway to garnering press and media attention from all over the world. Over 3,000 travel bloggers and press writers will have the chance to visit our booth, where we’ll showcase the best that Winter Park has to offer. I believe that Winter Park is truly Central Florida’s hidden gem, and I can’t wait to bring awareness to our city’s unique offerings.
We’ve also designed a survey to learn more about which of our city’s offerings is most attractive to visitors and planners. This information will be extremely insightful when we return home – we’ll be able to attract visitors with knowledge we’ve never had before.
Another humble thank you is owed to our partners: The Alfond Inn, the City of Winter Park, the Park Avenue Merchants Association, the Morse Museum of American Art, the Winter Park History Museum, the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens, Winter Park Photography, and the Bach Festival Society.
