City of Winter Park: The City of Winter Park has recently been certified as a Tree Line USA® Utility by the National Arbor Day Foundation®. The certification recognizes that Winter Park has met the five requirements for protection and enhancement of community trees including, quality tree care, annual worker training, community tree planting and public education, tree-based energy conservation program and Arbor Day observance.

Rollins College: In honor of what would have been Fred Rogers’ 87th birthday on March 20, theRollins College Child Development & Student Research Center will host a sweater drive that will benefit the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County and the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. New and gently used sweaters can be dropped off thru March 22 at various locations at Rollins College, the Winter Park Library and the Winter Park History Museum, which is hosting a weekend exhibition, “Mister Rogers Birthday Party” on March 20 and 21. Both adult and children’s sizes are needed.
